Logo Design:
-
First, what type of graphic or design do you need?
-
What does your business or non-profit do? How does it
stand out from your competitors?
-
What colors appeal to you?
-
What sort of image do you want to portray?
-
What adjectives come to mind when you think about how
you want the your business or non-profit to be perceived?
-
Do you want a text logo? An illustrated one?
-
Is there a slogan you'd like to have incorporated into
the design?
-
What examples do you have of logos, graphics or sites
you like?
-
What will your logo, graphic or site be used for?
- Does
your business or non-profit have a mission statement?
PROCESS:
Creation Process--or, how
do I get a logo?
Our collaboration on your logo or graphic can be broken down into four
phases: information gathering, initial design, revisions and finalizing.
Finding out what you
need
1. Information gathering includes setting the price and ironing out
payment and sharing your ideas about your logo. It's especially helpful if
you have examples of logos you like and don't like.
Sending you an
assortment of concepts
2. After I design the first concepts, you see them via email. Keep in
mind that they may look very different than the final product because your
input is important in the final logo. It's very helpful if you have
specific suggestions. Tell me what you think!
Making it perfect
3. Revision takes place when you settle on one concept. I send you several
iterations based on the concept that you choose. Look them over and gather
feedback from others. Employees, partners, family and friends can be very
helpful in looking at the iterations with fresh eyes.
That's a wrap!
4. When our visions meet
and you select your final logo, we will supply them to you in several
different formats, including .eps--the file format most often used at a
printer. The other file types we include are .jpg, .gif. Be sure to talk
to your printer before you finalize to make sure you understand the file
format you need as well as the cost involved in printing your logo. If you
have other requests in regards to file format, please let us know. ***A
general rule is that the more colors involved, the more it costs!
